About

The skin care industry is rapidly evolving, delivering new treatments designed to offer improved results for all manner of skin conditions.

From anti-ageing treatments, to those which address concerns like hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne and eczema, there are a wealth of options available to improve the condition and appearance of your skin.

Often these treatments can sound complex, and the choices might be overwhelming. We adopt proven methods and steer away from trends as they often do more harm than good. Let’s look at some of the most tried and tested non-invasive modalities and technology available for skin rejuvenation, what they involve and what they deliver.

Light therapy

Using non-invasive, non-thermal Light Emitting Diode light energy, light therapy is designed to stimulate the skin’s natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair.

In other words, it triggers the skin to do what it should, producing new cells and healing.

Light therapy is commonly used to treat a range of issues including rosacea, acne, fine lines and wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation, and results can be seen in as little as one session.

Often, however a course of light therapy is recommended with 2 x sessions weekly over a 4-week period. Using various specific wavelengths, the light penetrates the skin at different depths to elicit different reactions. These include fighting the bacteria that causes acne, plumping the skin, and reducing wrinkles.

Ultimately the result is skin which looks refreshed, rejuvenated and healthier.

Peels

Using concentrated solutions of varying acids including lactic, salicylic and natural enzymes. Chemical peels are a form of exfoliation designed to remove dead skin cells to leave your skin brighter, smoother and more refined.

As a result, peels can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, minimise scarring, remove age spots, reduce areas of hyperpigmentation, and also generally improve the texture and tone of the skin.

Although peels are also available as an at-home treatment, the type of peels used in-clinic are stronger and more targeted, resulting in both immediate and better long-term results.

Peels can be superficial and non-invasive which have minimal to no downtime. If needed, medium- deep strength peels are recommended which may require some downtime.

Peels are often recommended as a series of treatments over a period of time for the best results for specific skin concerns targeting the deeper layers of the epidermis stimulating cellular turnover, resulting in the production of healthy, glowing skin.

Oxylight

New to Australia and only currently available at KAELON, the Oxylight facial is the go-to treatment for celebrities like Jennifer Anniston, Kim Kardashian and Madonna.

This unique facial combines the most sought-after non-invasive skin rejuvenation modalities into one all-encompassing treatment and addresses concerns like fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, scarring, lymphatic drainage, loss of skin elasticity, and enlarged pores.

The treatment combines LED light, oxygen therapy, micro-current stimulation, diamond microdermabrasion, and ultrasound.

It begins with crystal free, ultra-fine diamond microdermabrasion followed by lymphatic drainage; stimulating lymph flow and removing toxins from the body.

LED Light Therapy is then used to deliver negative ions that reduces inflammation. Oxygen is utilised to infuse serums and vitamins customised to your needs followed by Biosonix Ultrasound Therapy to further infuse serums and vitamins by way of sonophoresis.

Micro-current technology is incorporated for the improvement of muscle tone while the Myosonix technology sculpts and tightens the contours of the face. Low level Radio Frequency stimulates the fibroblast cells to promote collagen production.

The results achieved using Oxylight treatment are considered second to none, offering an anti-ageing facial that tightens, smooths, lifts and improves the overall complexion and facial contours, with results visible even after the first treatment.

Medical Grade Skin needling

Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or micro needling, Medical grade skin needling involves very tiny needles used to penetrate the top layer of the skin vertically causing localised and controlled damage without substantially affecting the structure of the epidermis.

The process optimises cell function, stimulates collagen and elastin production and also encourages the skins production of natural moisturising factors, prompting the skin to rejuvenate and repair.

Meanwhile, it naturally promotes the release of growth factors while preserving the integrity of the epidermis.

Skin needling also then allows topical ingredients to better penetrate the skin for improved results.

Overall, it results in reduced fine lines and wrinkles, more even skin tone, reduced scarring and improved skin texture.

Not all skin needling devices are created equally and often clients will complete a course of treatments and not be satisfied with the outcome as a result. We use a medical device with medical device certification approved by the TGA and FDA with unrivalled precision, quality and safety.

Skin infusions

Vitamins such as A, E and C offer major benefits for the health and appearance of the skin, reducing the effects of sun exposure and prompting collagen production.

Vitamins can be infused into the skin using ultrasound, infused through skin needling or can permeate the skins layers with the assistance of skin needling prior to application.

Often vitamins are infused along with peptides and macromolecular components to visibly smooth wrinkles, stabilise the dermal/epidermal junction, enhance cellular regeneration and protect the skin’s DNA.

Skin infusions can provide improved results for fine lines and wrinkles; anti-ageing; dryness and dehydration; loss of firmness; sun damage; dark circles; dullness and congestion; sensitive and irritated skin.

A bespoke approach

At KAELON we offer a bespoke approach to skincare that utilises many of the treatments above and other proven practices to provide the results you seek for your skin.

Our approach is tailored to the individual and takes into account your skin’s history, your lifestyle, your current skin concerns and the outcome you are looking to achieve.

Many of our bespoke treatments combine multiple approaches to offer the best results possible. So, we might utilise peels and vitamin infusions and then combine them with light therapy to address a number of issues in one treatment session.

In the case of Oxylight, we combine all the most sought-after therapies into one comprehensive treatment, but the most important central theme is that it’s always about treating you and your skin holistically as an individual.

In addition, we draw on proven ancient practices to offer relaxation and improve circulation. These include techniques like shiatsu massage, and lymphatic drainage.

The result is treatments that not only improve the health of your skin but are tailored to you as an individual and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated radiating a resplendent glow.
